The File menu offers the following commands:
| New | Creates a new album. |
| New album wizard | Creates a new album using a wizard. |
| Open | Opens an existing album. |
| Close | Closes an opened album. |
| Save | Saves an opened album using the same file name. |
| Save As | Saves an opened album to a specified file name. |
| Print album | Prints an album. |
| Print album Preview | Displays the album on the screen, as it would appear printed. |
| Print Setup | Selects a printer and printer connection. |
| Print the selected pictures | Open a new window for printing the selected pictures and setting up the page layout |
| Application setup... | Setup of the MyAlbum application |
| Exit | Exits MyAlbum. |
